Take three fun-loving folks, put 'em together with some good old fashioned rock n roll from the 1950's and 1960's, add a few microphones, poodle skirts, leather jackets and what do you get? A whole lot of fun!
Lisa, Ann and Arnold have been entertaining Houston audiences in one form or another for a bunch of years, but came together to create The Great Pretenders when they all realized their mutual love for the wonderful tunes that energized and defined the culture that they knew in their "formative" years.
It seems there are quite a few out there that share the love and passion of these tunes. If you are one of them, be sure to join The Great Pretenders wherever you can find them. Current Happenings
We had a great time with a full 2 1/2 hour concert at Brazoria Heritage Foundation. Now on to other events including our friends, Lovin' Friends. We will be entertaining for their next pre-Thanksgiving dinner.

Lisa Whitlock has been seen everywhere as Marilyn Monroe, singing some of her most famous songs and wowing the crowds.
Ann and Arnold Richie were founders of and Artistic Directors of UpStage Theatre in Houston and are both passionate about the "swingin" '40s, the wonderful doo wop sounds of the '50s and the great songs of the '60s and '70s
With a few years behind us, The Great Pretenders has expanded the show to include your favorites from the Big Band sound to Disco. Let us tailor a great party just for you!
